Easy Guided Meditation – 10 mins or less

Following my previous article, I have so much to share with you.. I decided that the first thing will be about guided meditation.

To be more specific – it’s just two videos that have helped me a great deal. As well as helping others who I’ve shared them with.

And before you leave wishing you could do it but you don’t have the time or motivation.. I promise you – that even 10 minutes will be ok.

Of course ‘full on’ meditation is not something that can be learned in one or two goes. I’ve recently been told it’s like a muscle that needs to be developed over time. The more you practice it, the better it will be.

BUT, I can already hear most of you thinking to yourselves “I know, I know but need something to help me NOW”, I don’t have time, I don’t want to wait, I CAN’T WAIT.

And I get that.

I’ve tried meditation over and over again before. And it was kind of getting frustrating at one point.

My first time was at a retreat in Bali, because where else could be a better place to learn that skill..
I sat down, listened and.. it was making me angrier then I was before arriving there.

I couldn’t concentrate, my thoughts were rushing through my head like crazy, the birds sounded seriously great, my leg was aching for some reason, then my arm felt very uncomfortable and my back was killing.

Then the teacher gave us the permission to lay down – those who struggled.

I was the first one down.
And I fell asleep.

I don’t want you to feel like this.

I don’t want you to feel like you are pushing yourself so hard that you cannot sit even for a couple of minutes without feeling like you’re going crazy.

Simple Guided Meditation

My favourite place in Taiwan – a Monastery in the mountains.

Over time, I found a few different techniques and things that help me to meditate, I find that guided meditation is at the top. I still haven’t mastered it – that’s for sure. But I’m learning great tips and discovering new ways.

You literally just need YouTube and 10-20 minutes. Or however long you can last for the first time and then see how it goes. Most importantly, I don’t want you to feel pressured, just go with the flow and try to relax. You don’t even need to actually meditate.

Just go with the flow and listen to what the guide has to say, even just that helps me big time.

The two videos below – are ones that have proven to be the most helpful for myself. It’s interesting that one is an actual guided meditation. Whereas the second one by Deepak Chopra (incredible person) is more of a ‘talk’.

But it sure is a meaningful one that will make you feel a 1000 times better. It gets you thinking and appreciating yourself and everything around you. It still gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it.

When I discovered both of those videos, I was so hungry for something that can help me ease my mind.

I created a little routine where I would wake up in the morning, go outside and just sit there, appreciating the surroundings.

I’d then close my eyes and start listening to the first meditation.

Right after that, I’d listen to the Deepak Chopra one.

Both of them would put such a huge smile on my face, and teach me something new every single time. They also got me ready for the day in a way that nothing else did.

I was ready to take on any challenges.

Sometimes I would open my eyes while listening and just watch the nature, other times I’d lay down and close my eyes.

I still occasionally listen to both, sometimes on the tube (metro), or when I get some free time during the day. Sometimes I only listen to half of each one.

But every time, they give me so much more energy while and calming down my mind and breath.

I’ll be sharing more things with you, including meditation apps etc. as well as some of the meditation techniques that I’ve learned at my absolute favourite Monastery in Taiwan.

But please try this for now. And let me know if it helps at all or if you’d prefer something else.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this post on guided meditation.
