After years of searching and discovering moisturisers that do not irritate my skin, I now have my go to’s that can be used safely without worrying about consequences the next day.
I also realised that some creams can work for a period of time and then they stop, or whats worse – they may start irritating my skin. The following list, however, is of moisturisers that I’ve been using for a while now – on and off and still remain my favourites, plus what I currently use.
Bare in mind, that whatever works for me – might not necessarily work for you, but I really hope they will. My skin is very fussy and I always say that if it works for me – it should most likely work for someone else with similar skin conditions or sensitive skin in general.
So here are my favourites:

Zerobase Emollient Cream
Zerobase emollient cream is a really good and simple moisturiser that softens, moisturises and protects. It also helps with redness, damaged or inflamed skin – it’s very gentle.
It protects very well, I use it daily as a hand moisturiser, especially after washing my hands, as well as an all-over body lotion and put it on my face at night time. It can also be used before bath for those with severe skin dryness to relieve the symptoms slightly.
What really surprised me with this cream is that I was told it doesn’t have any chemicals which will keep the product lasting for a long time – meaning less irritants. It’s not a cream that can be purchased just anywhere, and to be honest – I’m surprised that Amazon stocks it..
Due to what the pharmacist told me, I would definitely recommend getting it from your local pharmacy if they do stock it as they prepare it freshly (from what I’m aware of) but if that’s not possible – then definitely check it out on Amazon here as the reviews are amazing and I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine. It’s also a good price too.
It has a very thick consistency and the smell is very unique as it has no perfume of course. To be honest I don’t really notice it and it’s worth it either way!
Ingredients:
Liquid Paraffin, White Soft Paraffin, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether, Sodium Dihydrogen Phosphate, Chlorocresol, Phosphoric Acid And Purified Water.

Coconut oil
Coconut oil has been my all time favourite. You might have seen my other posts about it, for example: 5 Ways I Use Coconut Oil While Travelling. I use it for so many different things. It’s great.
Keep in mind however, that some people are sensitive to it, therefore double check on a small area of your skin first, before applying it all over.
Coconut oil is my go to at home and when travelling. It’s great when travelling especially as it replaces all my other moisturisers, make-up remover and more. But I also use it daily at home – even on top of my other moisturisers, especially on the face as it adds extra softness and moisture. So good.
Try to buy organic and unrefined, plus 100% pure! With no added unnecessary things. To make sure only the good stuff is in there.

Dexeryl Cream
You might have read a post that I wrote specifically about the Dexeryl Cream shortly after discovering it – Dexeryl Cream Review (Face & Body). I really like this moisturiser as it’s very gentle and it only has a few ingredients, which do not irritate my skin at all. I mainly use it as a face moisturiser but it can be used all over the body.
It has a good medium consistency that spreads well and dries quite quickly.
